The most distant object you can see with the naked eye is the Andromeda Galaxy — for most people, at least.
This is about 2.5 million light years away and is visible during autumn and winter as a hazy patch in Andromeda. It’s easy to see from country skies.
Some people with very good skies or very good eyesight, or both, can see an even more distant galaxy called M33, in the nearby constellation of Triangulum.
